Black and Silver Dresser

I had a client that asked me to find her some night stands.  She needed them to be a certain height, so when I spotted some that were perfect, I snagged them.  The only catch was that they belonged to a set, so I had to buy everything.  No problem though.  I knew exactly what to do with them.

After

A couple of weeks ago, I was at Home Depot and found this awesome wallpaper that you paint.  I have been waiting for the perfect project to try it on.

It was so easy to use.  I just cut it to size, wet the paper, and put it on.  I left a little overhang just in case, and then sanded it off when it dried.

I wanted the details to pop, so I dry brushed some silver on it.  Worked like a charm!

I love how it turned out!  Now it's just waiting for a new home!

  2. That's the same wall paper I have as my backsplash! I spray painted it silver and it looks like real tin! Love that stuff and it looks great on your dresser! thanks for sharing on Trash 2 Treasure Tuesday.

  3. Sorry to hijack your thread, but I totally forgot I did this once on a table top (using leftovers from my backsplash) - and it turned out looking pretty much the same! How cool?! Here's mine - http://www.kammyskorner.com/2012/04/turning-garbage-into-glamour.html
