All About Detail...

One of the things I look for in furniture is detail.  When I walked by this table, I instantly saw the potential!

I started off by lightly sanding the whole piece.  Next, I mixed up my own chalk paint in a blue/grey.  I gave it two coats, and then lightly distressed it.  Then I used black glaze to make the details pop!  It's crazy how big of a difference the glaze makes. Finished by giving it a coat of wax.

The hardware wasn't working for me, so I spray painted it with a brushed nickle finish.  Again, I used glaze to make the details pop!

Check out the detail!  Love it!

    1. Thanks Cassie! I mixed a blue and a grey that I had on hand! I am new to this whole blogging thing! Thanks for the encouragement! Just to let you know that you are number 1 on my favorites list!!! You are the best!

  2. Gorgeous, I love the colour of blue that you came up with! Any before photos? :)

Also I think you might get more comments if you turned off the comment verification (where you have to type words to prove you're not a robot). It can be hard for people to see those letters. I turned it off awhile ago and just manually delete the one or two spams I've ever gotten - I think I got more comments after I turned it off :)
