Pink and White Desk

Hello everyone!  First of all, I have to apologize for not taking the before picture of this desk.  It was jammed in my garage, and I was taking one drawer at a time until my hubby got home to help me move it.  Patients is not one of my qualities!

I found this desk at one of my favorite shops.  Most of their furniture is in great shape.  I usually just wait for a furniture sale and then swoop in!

I was at Michael's and I saw this sweet pink and white damask wrapping paper.  I knew right away that it was perfect for my desk.  I used Modge Podge to adhere the paper to the drawers.  I let them sit over night and then lightly sanded them down.  I wanted it to look older, so I used a black glaze on top.

I found these perfect drawer pulls at Hobby Lobby!

Love how this turned out:)

Sometimes I seriously wish my daughter's room was bigger!  I would keep this in a heartbeat, but for sale she is!

Grey with a Silver Lining

I told my husband that I would not buy anymore furniture until I finished what was in my garage.  Glad that I had my fingers crossed behind my back cause I found this little table!  How could I say no?  It was half price, and the details were so cute!

Before

The plan was to hide it until he wasn't looking at then throw it in the garage.  The plan was going well until I forgot that I took his car when I picked it up!  DOH!!!

After

I have been holding onto a jar of Martha Stewart's Polished Silver for a while now.  This was the perfect piece to use it on.

I painted it in an oops grey that I found at Home Depot.  I always snag grey when I see it.  Grey is such a popular color right now.  Sometimes I just mix a couple of them together and see what comes out!

I love the little flowers!

The next time I am trying to be sneaky, I might just have to be a little more sneaky!

Little Blue Table

One of the best things about living in Southern California, is that it is always yard sale season here.  Lately, I have been getting up a the butt crack of dawn to meet some girlfriends for some good ol' yard sailing fun!

I came across this little table for a super great price!  It was in great shape, it just needed a little love, so in the car it went!

I think that I finally figured out how to get capture the actual color of my furniture!  I find that when I take my photos around 2-3 pm, they come out best.  It only took me a couple of years:)

Love this color!

Did you know that Facebook has groups where you can sell and buy furniture?  I had no idea until my friend told me about it.  I can't even begin to tell you how much I love it!  I have been selling a lot of small stuff on there.  And some big stuff too!  I don't have a booth anymore, so having other options to besides CL is so nice!  You should check out what groups are in your city!

White Pedestal Tables

I was snooping around the thrift stores a couple of weeks ago, when I found these little gems hidden behind some other furniture.  I love when I find a matching pair of tables.  I seem to always snatch them up when I see them:)

I don't think that I have ever come across pedestal tables before. They were ugly, dusty, and in need of a little TLC.

I love how these little tables turned out!  I know that I always complain about white paint, but these little guys were just screaming white at me.  Of course, I needed to put a black glaze to bring out their details:)

I think that these would be super cute in a little cottage styled living room!

these little tables are already in their new home.  I hope that she loves them as much as I do!

White Chest of Drawers

Hello Everyone!  Long time no post huh????  We bought a house last month and I have been a busy little bee.  My canvas went from furniture to walls:)  We are at a stand still until we can get the electrician out to fix a few things, so I got some time to paint a couple of pieces.

I found 3 gorgeous pieces at a local thrift shop.  All three of them were solid wood and in very good shape.  They just needed some updating.

Here is the first dresser before I got ahold of it.

I always say that I'm not going to paint with white anymore, but I always go back.  White furniture is my favorite.  Even though it takes a lot more time and effort, the outcome is so worth it.

I wanted a dark contrast with the white, so I used grey primer and then did a coat of black paint.

Here is the after!

I have another dresser with a mirror and the twin bed that matches this one.  I think I am going to sell them as a set.  Couldn't you just see these in a little girl's room???
